Overhead Badminton drop shot

The idea with this volley is to trick the opponent; approach the birdie as if to smash, however the racket head comes to a complete stop after it hits the birdie, without a follow through. This produces a slow shot which should barely cross the net.

Common drop shot mistakes
Some players change the drop shot approach and lift the birdie too high up. Here the bluff is made too obvious and the birdie is hit from too low and late, so a complete drop shot it not performed.
