Malaysan Open badminton tournament: third day

 June 25, 2009 - Today at the Stadium Bandaraya in Johor Bahru, which can hold up to 10,000 fans,  spectators saw a lot of men's and women's doubles pairs.  In men's singles no suprise that Lee Chong Wei is moving on, as will Long Chen, Kenichi Tago and women's players Pi Hongyan, Germany's Julian Schenk and Indonesian Open champion Saina Nehwal.  Women's doubles has Marissa Vita and Melati Nadya, and China's Yang Wei and Zhang Jiewn looking to the next round.  Men's doubles pairs Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong easily moved on, as did Mohd Fairuzizuan and Mohd Zachary Abdul Latif, one of the hometown favorites.
 
There is a strong Malaysian representation here at the tournament, giving the fans a lot to cheer about, and they'll need to cheer hard if they want to keep the strong Chinese shuttlers off of the podium.
