In 2005 Joachim won the Irish International Championships and the Finnish International Championships. Then in 2006 he went on to defend his title at the Finnish Championships and added the Austrian and Swedish titles to his resume. 2008 Denmark Super Series runner-up and 2008 French Super Series quarter-finalist. 2009 YONEX All England Super Series quarter-finalist.
