The Game of Badminton

Badminton is played on a court for 2 players (singles) or 4 players (doubles). The player must each hit the birdie over the net onto the opponents court; the object of the game is volley until the other player can't reach the birdie, hits it out of bounds or against the net, the winning player then gains one point, the first to reach 21 wins the set. The best out of 3 sets wins the game.

Since the birdie is very light and is affected by the least amount of breeze this sport is usually played on indoor courts.

Badminton has come a long way since its beginnings and it is now considered one of the most active and exhausting high paced sports. The reason for being so fast is the speed and agility needed to keep up with the birdie when hit the right angle and at high speeds. Which is why its presumed that you don't always need to be physically fit but have good reflexes and quick footing.
