Faults in Badminton

A player loses a point if:

* he isn't able to return the birdie over the net
* the player touches the net with his hand, clothes or racket, while the birdie is in play
* hits the birdie before it reaches his side of the court (crossing the net) however he can follow trough with his swing over the net when hitting the birdie
* he hits the birdie with his body or clothes
* hinders the opponents by crossing to his side, throwing the racket over or under the net, getting in the way of the players line of sight when partner is serving
* the birdie is hit twice by the same player, or in doubles, players on the same team him the birdie
* the server misses the birdie when serving
* he hits the birdie trough the sides of the net even if it lands in the court
