Chen Long of China won the men's title at the Phillippine Open

 July 5, 2009  - Chen Long of China won the men's title at the Phillippine Open today defeating Hu Yun from Hong Kong 21-13, 21-6.  Xin Wang of China upset number one player Mi Zhou in three sets  21-10 12-21 23-21.  The men's doubles winners were Mohammad Ahsan and Bona Septano, who went in to the tournament ranked number one.  Women's champoions were the pairing of Ling Gao and Yili Wei from China.  The mixed doubles final saw an all Chinese affair with Nan Zhang and Lu Lu winning 22-20 21-19 in 44 minutes over Zhiben Chen and Jinkang Zhang.
